A current homeowner in District 27, Brenda was born in Central City, Nebraska and grew up in Grand Island where she frequently visits her parents who still reside in the home where Brenda was raised. Brenda’s father is still active as a real estate agent and high school teacher.  Brenda's mother worked in retail and recently retired from her place of employment after 30 years of dedication.

Brenda attended Kearney State College and went on to receive her Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Kansas.  Brenda spent 15 years as an Occupational Therapist, as well as the Director of Occupational Therapy at a large trauma hospital. She went on to pursue interests in other areas, which began by spending six years as a Business Law Legal Assistant, in Grand Island, Nebraska.  Due to her ability to organize and effectively bring a project to completion, her career path led her to spend the past eleven years employed in the information technology field, with the most recent six years spent working as an IT Project Manager at Nebraska based Nelnet, Inc.

Brenda feels her real-world experiences have prepared her to bring practical solutions with workable pathways to help the 27th District residents and all Nebraska residents through a variety of challenges. It is Brenda's  background and experience in managing and completing complex projects which will give her the ability to successfully represent the 27th District on issues like property tax relief, prison overcrowding, mental health, pro-life and protecting the 2nd amendment. Brenda’s passion for helping others has led her to being actively involved in a local community outreach that included teaching beginning computer classes at a homeless shelter and helping with a food distribution program for people in need.  Now she is ready to use this passion to serve the people of the 27th District and Nebraska.

Brenda's faith and family are very important to her and cherishes time she gets to spend with her family.   One of her favorite roles is Aunt Brenda to her great nephew and two great nieces.
